Meet Abbey Roesner.
Abbey is obsessed with movement. She trained as a pre-professional dance student throughout the United States and earned her bachelor's degree in dance from The Juilliard School.
As a professional dancer Abbey had the pleasure of dancing for The Metropolitan Opera Ballet, Les Grands Ballets Canadiens de Montréal, Armitage Gone Dance and even appeared on stage with New York City Ballet principal dancers for a special commission at The New York Philharmonic. With her body as her instrument, Abbey dedicated over 20 years learning how to fine tune her own physicality and artistry through movement. When she retired from performing in 2015, she decided to put her knowledge to use by helping others feel better in their bodies. She earned her CPT from the National Academy of Sports Medicine and started teaching group fitness classes shortly after. Abbey taught barre at The Ballet Physique from 2015-2022, and appears in many of the studio’s virtual workouts. She is the former head trainer at FIT36 Denver Highlands, and former head coach at OrangeTheory in West Highlands Ranch. Currently, she leads group HIIT and lifting sessions at Fit House Denver, and loves coaching 1-on1 at TFC where she can get to know her clients and help them achieve their goals.
Abbey continues her own study of movement at Ape Co Movement School, following the methodologies of Ido Portal. She has spent the past several years fulfilling the prerequisite requirements to apply to Physical Therapy school; and hopes to earn her DPT in the near future.
She is also a Precision Nutrition Certified Level 1 Coach. As both a woman and a dancer, Abbey knows first hand, the struggles and stigma that can be present around food and fitness. She wants to help all her clients understand the relationship that nutrition has not only on physical performance and body composition, but on mental health, immune function, hormone regulation and so much more.
